I never set out on a career that would take me travelling. From my earliest explorations of the London Transport System with a 'Red Rover' to my cycle trips, then by scooter and eventually by car (boat and plane), I have always liked to travel. As I began to travel around Europe in my father's footsteps it became a bit of a joke between us as to where I would end up next. As you can see in the map of Europe I was lucky to get to see quite a bit of it although so far I have never visited my father's love - The Holy Land, or my own dream destination, which is China (and neither of which are in Europe anyway).

Europe and Africa

As a child I always dreamed of seeing the USA, and in 1990 I was at last sent there by my company - to San Francisco. I have returned many times since and I am almost as familiiar with New England as I am with Berkshire - but I still get lost out of Logan Airport.

USA

There are not many photos left of my earlier travels, and far too many of those I made later. I have chosen a few of the better ones and split each country into its own page - although some are rather brief. Because I have visited many places more than once, I have just covered this on the same page. For many places it was a fleeting visit or I have very few photos etc to post and so these are grouped onto the same page.
